Welcome to Healthy Living RMT! My name is Helena Mancini and I am a registered massage therapist (RMT). I am registered with both the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and the Registered Massage Therapists' Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
In 2016, I began to explore a career change that would be more beneficial for my health and for the health of others, and began training to become an RMT. In 2018, I graduated with honors from the International Academy of Massage which included over 2300 hours of educational training and over 400 clinic hours of onsite and offsite hands-on practical work.
In 2019, we moved just outside of the village of Clayton, and I opened a home-based RMT clinic located in the heart of Lanark County. Being able to assess and address the therapeutic needs of clients is truly rewarding and I look forward to helping you achieve your utmost health and well-being.
Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.
Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.
Tremendous benefits can be achieved through regular massage therapy treatments from a Registered Massage Therapist. Massage therapy can be used for the treatment of both acute and chronic conditions.
RMTs can work with a wide variety of patients, of all ages, in the treatment of illness, injury rehabilitation and disability. Whether your need is to have a moment of relaxation, reduce muscle tension or attain relief from chronic pain, a therapeutic massage can enhance your overall sense of emotional and physical well-being.
